Where’s that cheese grater?
The Stamper’s Sampler Feb/March edition published my very first full article. Three of these cards were created for a Ranger Design Team Challenge. (How I miss those monthly challenges to give me a push into my art room!) Ranger didn’t pick up the project so I pitched it to The Stamper’s Sampler. They loved it! The article shows how you can use Ranger’s Penscore and when heated you press it into a surface and it will take on the impression. Think- a pile of keys, a wicker furniture (like the flower card), or yes, even a cheese grater.
The little “angel” is my godson, Wanbli. He was coming down a circular slide and when trimmed, he looked like a flying angel to me.
Look for your own copy of Stamper’s Sampler. No doubt it’s easier to find that Rubberstampmadness!!

I began my 2007 Christmas card in November! They have been ready to be mailed for a few weeks just waiting till it was time! Then, last week and aquaintance asked me to create a “Holiday card” for them. It was a challenge because they are Jewish. I had to check with some of my co-workers what symbols were Christmas and what was neutral. I was surprised to learn that things like Poinsettias are not!
Here are the two cards I created for my holiday season. If you are getting one from me- don’t peek!! I hope you have a wonderful holiday with friends and family.

Last Fall I was contacted by Jessica Strawser- editor of North Light Books. I got to make five “sassy” cards for her new book, “Get Real Greetings.” The book is really fun and full of great sayings you can incorporated into your rubber stamped or paper creation cards!

I have mentioned Ranger’s Design Team on this blog before. Last March I flew to New Jersey to spend a weekend with Tim Holtz, Robin Beam and the rest of the awesome Ranger staff. We learned a lot about their fabulous products and amazing techniques. Our final project was to create a scrapbook page creating every element. We didn’t use any scrapbook papers. It was a real challenge and a lot of fun. This pic shows me with Tim sharing my page with the rest of the Design Team. It’s NOT great picture of me (frizz!) but I’m up front with Tim!

Two years ago, I flew to Burbank, CA to tape an episode of Craft Lab with their quirky host, Jennifer Perkins.
My episode teaches how to make four different cards using Rubber Stamps. Each card shows a different technique such as masking, making “stamps” with Penscore, etc.
The original airing was November 21 but it will repeat again soon! Catch a repeat of my show on September 27th at noon on the DIY Network.
I hope you can see it! It’s a lot of fun!
