Get Real Greetings
Last Fall I was contacted by Jessica Strawser- editor of North Light Books. I got to make five “sassy” cards for her new book, “Get Real Greetings.” The book is really fun and full of great sayings you can incorporated into your rubber stamped or paper creation cards!

I have mentioned Ranger’s Design Team on this blog before. Last March I flew to New Jersey to spend a weekend with Tim Holtz, Robin Beam and the rest of the awesome Ranger staff. We learned a lot about their fabulous products and amazing techniques. Our final project was to create a scrapbook page creating every element. We didn’t use any scrapbook papers. It was a real challenge and a lot of fun. This pic shows me with Tim sharing my page with the rest of the Design Team. It’s NOT great picture of me (frizz!) but I’m up front with Tim!

This card was created using Penscore. This really cool material sold by Ranger can be heated and then pressed into objects. The warm material will take on the impression of the object. The sunflower cards was made by pressing Penscore into Sequin Scrim. What is Sequin scrim? It’s the material left over after sequins are punched out. It can be used to add REALLY cool accents to cards!!
If you want some (it’s hard to find in craft stores!) check out my auctions on Ebay. My seller name is “Stamps3070″ I am selling three feet for 99 cents!!

Two years ago, I flew to Burbank, CA to tape an episode of Craft Lab with their quirky host, Jennifer Perkins.
My episode teaches how to make four different cards using Rubber Stamps. Each card shows a different technique such as masking, making “stamps” with Penscore, etc.
The original airing was November 21 but it will repeat again soon! Catch a repeat of my show on September 27th at noon on the DIY Network.
I hope you can see it! It’s a lot of fun!

Filed under Uncategorized | Comment (0)Hello Fellow Rubber Stampers!
As I begin this new blog venture, I thought it would be smart to introduce myself. My name is Heidi Kinnamon. I am a Rubber Stamp Artist. My art journey began over 5 years ago.
In that time I have appeared on television on the DIY Network show, “Craft Lab”. http://web.diynet.com/diy/web/searchResults?searchString=Heidi+Kinnamon&submit=Search
I was interviewed on a radio show with Tera Leigh.
My first book, “Stamp-A-Card” was published by Grace Publications and is now sold on the 100 Proof Press website and also by me.
Most recently, I was chosen to be on Ranger Ink’s 2007 Design Team. There are 11 of us all under the care of the amazing people at Ranger AND the awesome Tim Holtz!
I began just by playing. Every day! When I began, all of my stamps fit into a shoe box!! Then, I moved to a large storage box on wheels. Now, I have an entire ROOM full of stamps, ink and materials. It’s been an amazing journey! In addition, I have designed cards for Hampton Arts Catalog 2005 and 2007. I design cards for Michael’s website and have been posted on the 100 Proof Press website.
My cards have been published in The Stamper’s Sampler, Take Ten and The Catch Up Issue.
It’s been an amazing trip so far. My love or Rubber Stamps and inks has taken me to California, New Jersey, Minnesota and Chicago. I hope to grow more and more every day and experience new things. I hope you enjoy my art!!
